Collets

A wide variety of collet system are available. We have a full range of DIN 6499 ER collets and can offer standard, ultra precision, sealed and microbore types.

The DIN6388 form B Range is also covered, still widely used in the woodworking industry.

The popular DA (Double Angle) and TG (Tremendous Grip) systems are readily available.

Collets can be supplied individually or in sets both in metric and imperial bore sizes.

Collet Systems. (ER, DA, TG etc.)

  • ER Collets - DIN6499 Standard Collets

A full range of ER collet sizes from ER08 to ER50 available individually or in sets.
Shank diameters from 0.5mm up to 34mm can be clamped.

These are precision collets with a run out accuracy of 0.010mm (10 microns) or less.

  • ER Collets - DIN6499 Ultra Precision Collets

A full range of ultra precision ER collet sizes from ER08 to ER50 available individually or in sets.

Shank diameters from 0.5mm up to 34mm can be clamped.

These are ultra precision collets with a run out accuracy of 0.005mm (5 microns) or less.

  • ER Collets - DIN6499 Micro Bore Precision Collets

A range of ultra precision ER collet sizes from ER08 to ER16 enabling shank diameters from 0.2mm up to 0.9mm to be clamped.

These are ultra precision collets with a run out accuracy of 0.006mm (6 microns) or less.

These are designed to hold the nominal tool shank diameter (tool shank to h7 tolerance)

  • ER Collets - DIN6499 Sealed Precision Collets

The collets are sealed by rubber inserts in the slots and are used with standard locknuts.

Maximum pressure is 40Bar / 600PSI and ideally the collet size should clamp the nominal diameter.

A full range of ER collet sizes is available from ER11 to ER40 enabling shank diameters from 1.0mm up to 26mm to be clamped. The range is available in both Precision 0.010mm (10 microns) and ultra precision 0.005mm (5 microns) or less.

  • ER Collet Sealing Disks

The sealing disk system is designed for use with a sealing disk locknut and works in higher pressure applications 150 Bar / 2000 PSI.

Sealing on the cutting tool is by means of a coolant resistant O-Ring which allows a 0.5mm sealing range.

Available for the range ER16 - ER40 for tool diameters 2.5mm to 26mm. (Refer to locknuts section for appropriate locknuts)

  • ER Coolant Flush Nuts

Used generally where through coolant cutting tools are not available but better direction of the coolant to the tool cutting edge is required.

ER sizes from ER16 to ER32 enabling shank diameters from 3.0 mm up to 20mm to be clamped.

  • DIN 6388 (Forrm B) Collets (Ortlieb)

A range of double slotted collets designated 415-E, 462-E, and 467-E

Covers a clamping range from 1.0mm to 32mm.

Often used in the Woodworking industry both direct in machine spindles and collet chucks.

  • Double Angle DA000- Mini Series.

A special range of DA collets to clamp small diameter tools.

Clamping range is 1.0mm - 4.0 mm in sized steps.

Ideally the nominal size collet to match the tool shank diameter should be used.

Note - when used with a DA000 straight shank tool this has a maximum outside diameter of 10.2mm

  • Double Angle DA Collets

Designed to give full grip over the clamping length, general run out accuracy 0.025mm.

    Series 100DA, 180DA, 200DA, 300DA and 400DA available.

This covers a clamping range from 1.0mm to 25.5mm.

  • TG - (Tremendous Grip) Collets

Designed to give higher grip (compared to ER) and minimum run out over the tool clamping length.

General run out accuracy 0.015mm on standard collets, 0.008mm on high precision collets.

    Series 50TG, 75TG, 100TG and 150TG available.

This covers a clamping range from 1.5mm to 40mm.

  • R8 Collets

Designed to fit into a R8 spindle and available in both Metric and Imperial bore sizes.

The draw bar thread is generally 7/16" UNF.

    Metric Range - 2mm to 20mm, Imperial Range 1/16" to 7/8"
